Adapt API is an infrastructure layer for the P&C industry They seek to enable digitization for traditional insurance players and insurtechs alike. Chris Luiz sat with Founding Account Executive, Jacob Bolton, to learn more about how Adapt API is impacting the industry.

Who are your clients?
We primarily serve independent insurance agencies with a sweet spot being agencies with $1M+ in revenue. However, we also work with major agency aggregators and networks as they benefit from consolidating carrier data at scale.
What does your product do?
Our solution automates policy servicing by extracting and organizing billing, claims and policy data from a large number of carrier portals that’s growing weekly. We then standardize documents, rename files based on a unified naming convention and integrate everything directly into agency management systems like Applied Epic, Hawksoft and Vertafore AMS360, Worksmart, ImageRight and Sagitta. Agencies wake up with an organized task list instead of manually tracking down policy updates.
How much capital have you raised?
We are venture-backed but currently operate in stealth mode regarding funding details. Our focus is on scaling customer adoption while continuing to expand carrier integrations.
Was the company born from within or outside the industry?
Born from within the industry. Our founder spent a year sitting in agencies to understand their most painful operational challenges. The biggest issue? Manual policy servicing tasks were taking up too much time and bogging down staff. Adapt was built specifically to automate that work and allow agencies to focus on customer relationships, not paperwork.
What growth metrics have you accomplished over the last 12 months?
Doubled integrated carrier portals, with a pace of adding 1-2 new carriers per week.
Onboarded multiple large agency networks and aggregators.
Reduced manual servicing costs by 3-4x for existing customers compared to outsourcing.
Built seamless Agency Management System (AMS) integrations that allow agencies to keep their existing workflows intact.
Within your domain, what is the current challenge that the industry is facing?
Agencies are drowning in manual policy servicing work. Many resort to outsourcing (often offshore) or dedicate entire teams to logging into carrier portals, downloading documents and processing policy changes. Direct carrier downloads don’t solve the problem because they often come in an unstructured format, requiring additional cleanup. Agencies need a truly automated solution that works across carriers and AMS platforms.
How does Adapt take a unique approach to providing value?
We often hear agencies say, "We already have a virtual assistant or offshore team handling this." But the problem is, offshoring still relies on manual work. It’s costly, introduces security risks and can still cause errors. Adapt eliminates the need for outsourced processing altogether. Our AI does the same work instantly, accurately and at a fraction of the cost.
What inspired you to start this company?
We saw that agencies were stuck in a cycle of inefficiency, constantly playing defense instead of proactively managing client relationships. Our goal is to give agencies their time back by eliminating the manual servicing bottleneck that has plagued the industry for years.
Can you share any goals for the next 12 months?
Expand coverage to support all national and regional carriers.
Partner with brokers and wholesalers to extend our solution to the E&S market.
Improve AMS integrations to further streamline workflows.
Strengthen AI-driven automation for policy endorsements and renewal tracking.
