Jump Point AI is an AI and data platform. They seek to empower insurance brokers with AI-powered data & workflow automation solutions to boost growth & productivity. Chris Luiz sat with CEO, Jerry Chien, to learn more about how Jump Point is impacting the industry.





Who are Jump Point's clients?


Our clients are brokers and agencies, typically small to medium-sized, with some property and casualty commercial exposure.


What does your product do?


Our system is designed to be the first autonomous-ready agency management system (AMS) for brokers and agencies. It achieves this through a collection of modular, integrated AI agents and AMS modules.


How much capital have you raised?


We completed a pre-seed round of $250,000 in March 2024.


Was the company born from within or outside the industry?


The company was born within the industry. My experience in the insurance field gave me insights into existing challenges, allowing me to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for innovation. I’ve seen where the "skeletons are buried," so to speak.


What growth metrics have you accomplished over the last 12 months?


The biggest milestone has been completing a major pilot with a national insurance broker, which we successfully converted into $100,000 ARR.


Within your domain, what is the current challenge that the industry is facing?


The insurance brokerage industry is tethered to outdated, legacy agency management systems that lack the infrastructure to support advancements in AI and digital-first experiences. Data is often trapped in these systems, making it difficult for brokers and agencies to improve efficiency, scale operations and facilitate growth. Our goal is to simplify their workflows, allowing them to focus on serving clients and growing their business.


How does Jump Point take a unique approach to providing value?


Jump Point aims to simplify the adoption of AI solutions for brokers and agencies. As our name suggests, we help them take the "jump" into this new technological era. By delivering value through workflow automation, data extraction, scalability and growth-enabling tools, we make it as easy as possible for them to get started at their own pace.


What inspired the team to start this company?


Having worked extensively in the insurance industry, I saw numerous areas that felt outdated and inefficient. The industry is widely known for its antiquated systems. With my experience in AI, I saw an opportunity to introduce innovative solutions and write a new chapter for the insurance industry over the next 5–10 years.


Can you share any goal(s) for the next 12 months?


Our primary goal is to complete more pilots with agencies interested in leveraging AI to improve their operations and customer service. These pilots will serve as a foundation to springboard into broader strategies for growth and adoption.
